Our approach to accessible hiring — for candidates applying and recruiters running the pipeline.
Expertini ATS aims to be usable by candidates and recruiters using assistive technology. This page states our approach plainly, including where work is still ongoing, rather than asserting a conformance level the product hasn't been independently audited against.
01What's built in today
Semantic HTML structure with a single, correctly-nested heading hierarchy per page; keyboard-navigable forms on the candidate application flow; sufficient colour contrast on primary text and interactive elements; and no reliance on colour alone to convey status (pill labels pair colour with text, not colour alone).
02What we're still working on
Full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance has not been independently audited across every tool in the Hiring Tools suite (70+ tools, some newer than others) — we're not claiming a conformance level we haven't verified. If you hit a specific accessibility barrier, reporting it (see below) gets it prioritised faster than a general audit would.
03Reporting a barrier
Email accessibility@expertini.com with the page URL and a description of the barrier (screen reader, keyboard-only navigation, zoom/magnification, or other assistive technology) — we treat these reports as bugs, not feature requests, and prioritise accordingly.
